Penetration Testing Services
Protect what matters with Penetration Testing Services
Penetration testing is an authorised, simulated cyber attack in which certified security testers try to exploit weaknesses in your applications, networks and cloud — the same way a real attacker would — and then show you exactly how to fix them. Aesparrow is a penetration testing company and penetration testing services provider delivering manual-first pentests for web apps, mobile apps, APIs, internal and external networks, Active Directory and AWS, Azure and GCP environments.
Unlike an automated vulnerability scan, a penetration test proves which issues are genuinely exploitable and what the business impact would be — chaining small weaknesses into real attack paths. We offer black box, grey box and white box testing, authenticated and unauthenticated, one-off or as an annual penetration testing programme, with every finding scored using CVSS and mapped to OWASP, NIST SP 800-115 and MITRE ATT&CK.

What is penetration testing?
Penetration testing (pen testing or ethical hacking) is a controlled security assessment where experts attempt to breach a system with the owner’s written permission. The goal is to find exploitable vulnerabilities — such as broken access control, injection flaws, weak credentials or cloud misconfigurations — before criminals do, and to provide prioritised, evidence-backed remediation guidance.
Types of penetration testing we perform
Web application penetration testing
OWASP Top 10 and ASVS-aligned testing of web apps, portals and SaaS platforms.
Mobile app penetration testing
Android (APK) and iOS (IPA) testing against OWASP MASVS and the Mobile Top 10.
API penetration testing
REST, GraphQL and SOAP APIs tested against the OWASP API Security Top 10.
External network penetration testing
Internet-facing perimeter: firewalls, VPNs, mail, exposed services.
Internal network & Active Directory
Assume-breach testing of internal networks, AD privilege escalation and lateral movement.
Cloud penetration testing
AWS, Azure and GCP identity, storage, network and workload attack paths.
Wireless (Wi-Fi) penetration testing
Rogue access points, weak encryption, segmentation and guest-network isolation.
IoT & OT security testing
Devices, firmware and industrial protocols for connected and SCADA environments.
Social engineering testing
Phishing simulation and pretexting to measure human-layer risk.
Black box vs grey box vs white box penetration testing
- Black box — no prior knowledge — simulates an external attacker; fastest view of real-world exposure
- Grey box — user credentials and limited documentation — the best balance of depth and cost for most apps
- White box — full access to source code and architecture — deepest coverage, ideal before major releases
- Authenticated vs unauthenticated — we test both to show what anonymous attackers and malicious insiders can reach
Our penetration testing methodology
A repeatable, standards-based process aligned to PTES, NIST SP 800-115 and the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide.
Scoping & rules of engagement
Targets, test windows, credentials and safety controls agreed in writing.
Reconnaissance
Mapping the attack surface: hosts, endpoints, roles, technologies and data flows.
Vulnerability discovery
Tuned automated scanning plus manual analysis to surface candidate weaknesses.
Exploitation
Safe, controlled exploitation to prove impact and eliminate false positives.
Post-exploitation
Privilege escalation and lateral movement to show the true blast radius.
Reporting & re-testing
Executive and technical report, debrief call and free re-test of fixes.
Penetration testing deliverables
- Executive summary — risk posture in plain language for leadership and boards
- Technical findings — proof-of-concept, affected assets, CVSS score and CWE reference
- Remediation guidance — specific fixes and hardening steps for each finding
- Attack narrative — how weaknesses chain together into a realistic breach path
- Re-test report & attestation letter — evidence for customers, auditors and regulators
Why choose Aesparrow as your penetration testing company
- 1
Manual-first testing
Certified testers verify every finding — no raw scanner dumps, no false-positive noise.
- 2
Business-risk ratings
CVSS-scored findings ranked by real business impact so you fix what matters first.
- 3
Developer-ready reports
Reproducible steps, evidence and code-level remediation your engineers can act on.
- 4
Free re-test
We verify your fixes and issue an updated report you can share with customers and auditors.
Whether you need an independent third-party penetration test for a customer security questionnaire, PCI DSS, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence, or simply want to know how an attacker would get in, our team scopes the work around your stack, timelines and budget. Ask for a fixed-fee penetration testing quote — most engagements start within a week.
